Last week Lexus hosted Beyond The Cut: An event that married the sleek, luxurious and powerful design of the all-new Lexus RC F performance coupe with the new menswear collection by celebrated designer Wararire Boswell.
The event was hosted by celebrity host Emmy-nominated television host and fashion journalist Lloyd Boston, a regular contributor on CBS’ The INSIDER, who has also been on The Oprah Show, Martha, CNN and E! News hosted Beyond The Cut.
Boswell’s designs are driven by creativity and inspiration, not seasons. He demonstrated this by presenting a collection that included casual shorts and tees, luxurious sweaters and expertly tailored suits with an array of lively patterns and unique fabrics.
Boswell, his designs and the mega-stars wearing his collection are regularly profiled in Esquire, GQ, Vogue, Details and The Hollywood Reporter. He has outfitted some of the most influential players in business and professional sports, including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Bruno Mars, NAS, and Dwyane Wade.
The featured vehicle of the evening was all-new 2015 Lexus RC 350 F SPORT, an aggressively styled coupe inside and out. The 2015 RC F which blends nimble handling and eye-catching design with exhilarating high performance was also on display.

I believe that we should do whatever it is that makes us happy. Other people’s opinions and judgements do not matter.
This past weekend I went to my alma mater’s, Florida A&M University, homecoming. I was super excited because I have not been on my college campus in about 18 years. Long time!
Lincoln Motor Company was gracious enough to allow me the privilege to drive the new 2015 Lincoln MKZ down to Tallahassee, FL for Homecoming. It was a short 24 hour trip, but driving the Lincoln MKZ made it a short luxurious adventure.
I have driven the Lincoln MKZ on several occasions but never on a long distance trip. First let me tell how comfortable I was driving the Lincoln MKZ. The premium leather seats mold to your body. The heated seats are perfect for cold weather. It was cold in Atlanta and Tallahassee this weekend and the heated seats came in handy.
The front seats can adjust at the touch of a button to fine-tune comfort to your individual needs. The driver’s seat memory feature allows you to have your personal seating preferences available anytime. So every time I got into the car, it adjusted perfectly to my body without me having to program my position. Genius!
The car literally glides across the road. In addition, the ride was super quiet. The Lincoln MKZ has Active Noise Control which enhances overall cabin sound quality by cancelling out unwanted noises while enhancing desired sound to help provide a more pleasant driving experience.
One of the best features of the Lincoln MKZ is the retractable panoramic roof. So luxe. With the simple push of a button, the hard top roof retracts and opens up into a beautiful panoramic view of the sky. This feature got the car so much attention on the road and while in Tallahassee. Love it.
The other features I loved about the 2015 Lincoln MKZ is the fuel economy. I had a Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and I only had to fill up the tank once driving to and from Tallahassee. This is a 8 hour ride round trip. I really do not know any luxury cars where you can get this type of fuel economy. It is insane!
The 2015 Lincoln MKZ comes standard with SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch™. This features lets you personalize your driving experience from entertainment to climate with simple voice commands, touch-screen controls or customizable cluster screens controlled by steering wheel-mounted buttons. This system easily syncs with your smart phone, so you can make calls and listen to your music library hands-free.
And Homecoming was amazing. The campus had changed so much! I love #FAMU! #FAMUFOREVER
My old dorm. Memories!

No words needed. If you don’t know. You don’t know. 🙂
We all have a plan on how we think our lives should work. But sometimes God has a different plan and it is 1000 times better than our plan.
I have discovered a new handbag company that features gorgeous handbags made from 100% vegan materials and affordable.
Angela & Roi designs simple yet classic handbags in signature styles and colors and a portion of the proceeds from every handbag sale goes to a specific charity fighting various causes such as Cancer and AIDS.
For example with every sale of this beautiful red handbag a portion of the proceeds will go to Keep A Child Alive, an AIDS charity partner of Angela & Roi. I am a sucker for luxe causes.
Divas I have checked out the collection and these bags are just delicious. They have classic lines, vibrant colors, and they are functional.
Angela & Roi handbags retail between $50-$150. Wowza! The price point is super affordable. You can’t beat it.
The Krog Street tunnel is a famous Atlanta street/tunnel that features graffiti art from a host of talented Atlanta artists. The landscape is always changing and it is a joy to ride through. I am from Atlanta and have been riding through that tunnel since I was a little girl, so I am so happy to see it is still a thing. A true testament to living art.
So I was eager to attend this event celebrating the iconic Krog Street Tunnel. The tunnel was transformed into an avant-garde European style masquerade ball and art party. The event featured beautiful masked guests, cocktails, bites, a live brass band, burlesque dancers, a fantastic DJ and more.
But I don’t think my words can truly describe the event: Check out the pictures!
Some days I get up I feel great….others days I don’t feel so great. But I tell myself each morning, you have a choice to be happy or not. I choose happiness.
One of my favorite charities is Bert’s Big Adventure. Bert’s Big Adventure gives terminally ill children and their families a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a dream vacation to Disney World. Love it!
Jim Ellis Audi donated an Audi A3 Convertible 1.8T Cabriolet FWD S Tronic raffle to Bert’s Big Adventure to fund these magical trips. Raffle tickets sold out immediately! Wowza! Of course they would sell out because the Audi A3 is a beautiful car.
Although tickets are gone, they only sold 1000 tickets, you can still make a charitable donation to Bert’s Big Adventure, here.
If you purchased a ticket, you can tune in to The Bert Show on October 31st between 6-10 a.m. to find out if you won! If you can’t hear The Bert Show on a local radio station near you, visit the website (http://thebertshow.com) and then click on the “Listen Live” tab. The winner will also be contacted directly following the drawing.

I am a Chanel girl through and through. Beautiful and classic. I love the clothes, the timeless handbags, but my favorite Chanel items are the parfums.
I have been wearing Chanel for over 10 years now and my favorite Chanel scents are: Coco Mademoiselle, my signature scent, Coco, and the iconic Chanel No. 5. Some think it smells a bit archaic. But to me it is the standard in French perfume. It has notes of bergamot, lemon, neroli and ylang-ylang, the heart of jasmine, rose, lily of the valley and iris, while the base is created of vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and patchouli. A beautiful scent.
Chanel recently released their new Chanel No. 5 mini-film: #THEONETHATIWANT featuring supermodel Giselle. The cinematography is stunning. Giselle looks amazing. And the love story behind the film is simply beautiful. I love LOVE.
Life can be difficult and filled with hard work. But you have to be able to enjoy it too. Be spontaneous: take a day trip, dance by yourself in the mirror, laugh so hard your stomach hurts, jump on your bed, jump in the pool with your clothes on, tell someone you love them!
I love La La Land: L.A. It is so sunny and gorgeous! You have the ocean, mountains, and clear blue skies. What is there not to love? It seems lately I am always there. Love it.
If you plan on going to L.A. anytime soon, the City of Angels has a great deal in celebration of the L.A. Museum Season. Last Thursday night, Atlanta had the privilege of hosting the world’s largest dinner party, Dîner en Blanc in partnership with Moët Ice Impérial.
Millennium Gate Park in the Atlantic Station area of Atlanta, welcomed close to a thousand Atlantans to the event’s exciting debut in the city. Dîner en Blanc is the world’s first viral event, part impromptu picnic, part mystery dinner. Launched in France in 1988, the storied Paris tradition attracts more than 15,000 people every year.
This event was simply magical. There were beautiful people dressed in all white, with gorgeous hats, shoes, and accessories. People brought their own table and chairs and decorated their tables with GORGEOUS place settings.
The DJ was simply incredible. He played très chic French music and then transitioned into 80-90s pop with a twist of hip-hop. The fancy crowd made a dance floor on the lawn and danced the night away after enjoying their dinner and Moët Ice Impérial.
The très chic picnic takes over landmark public spaces in cities around the country, but to preserve spontaneity and secrecy, only reveals the locations at the last minute to the delight of thousands of attendees. It’s a magical moment in time — from different points throughout each city, thousands dressed in white arrive at the same moment, at the same place. People bring their own food to share with friends, often spending weeks designing menus and preparing some of the most sumptuous and creative repasts imaginable. Dîner en Blanc has also become a popular venue for people to exhibit their unique fashion style, showcase their taste for design and share their gastronomic delights.
This year, guests made a toast to the evening with champagne dressed for the occasion. Moët Ice Impérial, fitted in a striking white bottle to complement the evening’s all-white dress code, joined Dîner en Blanc as the event’s official champagne, with last Thursday night’s event marking its official introduction to the Atlanta market. As the world’s first-ever champagne created specifically to be enjoyed over ice, Moët Ice Impérial breaks the tradition of champagne – in style. Partygoers dined, sipped and posed for photos in the Moët photo booth and in front of the over seven-foot-tall champagne tower.

It was a magical night!
About Dîner en Blanc
The worldwide phenomenon known as Dîner en Blanc® will celebrate its 26th anniversary this year! Launched by François Pasquier and a handful of friends in 1988, the Paris Dîner en Blanc now attracts more than 10,000 people each year. What began as a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into an international epicurean phenomenon on five continents. While the technology behind the event may have changed over the years, the principles fuelling this fantastic event have not: diners continue to gather at a secret location for the sole purpose of sharing a high-quality meal with good friends in one of their city’s most beautiful locations. Dîner en Blanc International, based in Montreal, is responsible for developing this secret posh picnic in over 50 cities by the end of 2014. Each event is headed by passionate local organizers who fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city, giving this rendezvous a local flair.
