Recently, Frye Atlanta celebrated the launch of their new collection: The Modern Icons, with a swanky soiree hosted by Lauren Cohan of The Walking Dead.
Atlanta social elite and shoppers gathered for one fabulous night! Guests were treated to the sounds of DJ Pat O’Brien while enjoying complimentary Richland Rum cocktails, Emergency Drinking Beer from Wild Heaven Craft Beers and local bites from The Mercury. The signature cocktail of the night, perfect for any fall occasion and called Bootstrap, was made with Georgia’s own Richland Rum, lime juice, lemon juice, aperol, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, Peychauds bitters, shaken and garnished with a Granny Smith Apple, (recipe below). With over 200 in attendance, stylish guests sipped and shopped, being the first to explore The Modern Icons Collection and fall’s newest arrivals.

The avant-garde phenomenon Le Dîner en Blanc returns to Atlanta for the third consecutive year on Saturday, September 10, 2016. If you are a film fanatic like me, then you would love the Bronze Lens Film Festival which will take place in Atlanta, GA from August 25-28 at the Marriot Marquis.
The Bronze Lens Film Festival features select films from filmmakers representing the United States, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. There will be over 50 films that include a collection of features, shorts, narratives, webisodes (I love them) and documentaries.
The mission of the BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, Georgia is two fold: to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color; and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers. Love it!
In addition, there will be BronzeLens expert master classes, workshops, domestic and international film screenings and signature events during this one of a kind film festival. So luxe!

And speaking of taking time, I have been taking a little hiatus from writing to get my personal life in order. There have been a lot of changes in my life and I will share all the big news with you lovely Divas soon!
One change that has been occurring is that I have made a commitment to wear my hair in its natural state more often than not. Although I do not have any chemicals in my hair, I do get it blowed out and pressed… a lot. But this Summer, I was inspired by my daughter and all the other natural hair care divas to wear my hair in its naturally curly state with no heat. It has been an adventure!
