The event hosted over 250 hair stylists and tastemakers, and played off of a “blended” theme throughout, including a variety of unexpected artistic experiences, entertaining performances and creative food and drink.
Of course the party included creative stylists, entertainment, great food, libations and beautiful people.

Atlanta DJ Ree De La Vega spun tunes while famed local graffiti artist Dr. Dax created a large-scale painting that was given away at the end of the evening. An aerialist flew over an all-white photography area where guests were given the opportunity to take part in a live photo shoot. Performance artist Diego entertained onlookers through a glass-walled bathroom space, where he played with BLEND products and various hairstyles, while hair models with makeup by Crush Studio and styling by nationally renowned Keune artists George Alderete, Edward Woody and Switzerland’s Mike Karg showcased trendy BLEND looks throughout the crowd.
Bold American Catering provided creative bites such as bacon and peanut butter shots and cantaloupe and pineapple with smoked chili powder. At the open bar, Bai cocktails matched BLEND’s hot-hued packaging in flavors like blood orange, pineapple and grapefruit and Atlanta’s Wild Heaven provided yellow cans of Emergency Drinking Beer. Plus, mobile sips and treats included Cult Carts’ “adult” cotton candy in unexpected blended flavors, such as Strawberry Fig Balsamic, Lavender Cookies & Cream and Vanilla Popcorn, as well as a model who brought bubbly to partygoers with her “Champagne dress.” Tito’s Vodka served up Moscow Mule slushies from the dry ice bar in VIP.

This year I am committed to improving my skin and having better skin tone and fewer blemishes. I think I have found just the product to help me achieve my goals. Over the holidays, I was introduced to a new skin care line, Wright Skincare. This skin care line consists of 100% percent natural and organic ingredients.
I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Annette Wright, the founder of The Wright Skincare line and to test the products. Annette started Wright Skincare after a trip to Europe. The first thing Ms. Wright learned was that women in Europe rarely wash their faces with water. She noticed that a lot of the skincare products in Europe were not made with water but with moisturizing ingredients such as micellar water or rose water. These solutions are more moisturizing to the skin as they will not dry the skin out like water.
As a result of her research and experience in Europe, Ms. Wright begin formulating her skincare line for women of all ages and ethnicities. The Wright Skincare line is all natural and contains no chemicals so it is perfect for people like me with sensitive skin.
I tested the products for a period of 6 weeks and I love them! Specifically, I tried the 3-in-1 Micellar Water and the Facial Wash. I can honestly say after 6 weeks, my skin tone has improved and my skin feels and looks smoother and brighter.
The facial wash is a face-peeling gel that cleans and purifies skin with fine micro granules, helping to remove dead cells. Suitable for all skin types, the wash leaves skin soft and smooth. The Facial Wash contains natural alpha hydroxyl-acids (fruit extracts) plus hyaluronic acid that improves the texture of the skin by increasing hydration. I must admit it took me some time to get use to this product because it is not to be used with water. But it works and definitely removes all dirt and makeup from your skin with a breeze.
The Wright Skincare 3-in-1 Micellar Water is my absolute favorite product! I use it as a toner, a skin refresher and as a base for my make-up. This product is soooo refreshing and soothing to the skin! Love, love, love. This product is a soap-free make-up remover and is sulfate-free, PEG free and a neutral pH for the skin to maintain its physiological balance.

While I was getting my hair transformed into luscious waves, I was served a proseco cocktail and before my cocktail was finished, the stylist was done with my hair. Love it!

Last Monday I was invited to multi-platinum selling artist, Rick Ross’, estate for a party celebrating the launch of his new venture, Rich Beauty haircare.
The event was titled “Beauty & Belaire” and was presented by Maybach Music Group and took place at Ross’ massive 235-acre home. The night was hosted by Tahira Joy, co-founder of The Cut Life with cocktails courtesy of none other than Ross’ signature champagne, Belaire Rosé. The room was filled with Atlanta’s top beauty influencers, press, and bloggers. Fab!

My second day of my Downtown Napa tour was simply nirvana!
Some of the highlights included lunch at The Meritage Resort and Spa’s very own wine cave; wine tasting at the uber chic Cru tasting room and a visit to the new home of the Culinary Institute of America at COPIA.
The morning started with a visit to the Oxbow Marketplace which included a visit to The Cru at The Annex tasting room and a craft beer tasting at Fieldworks.
The Cru at The Annex tasting room is like no other I have ever seen. The decor was absolutely beautiful. The decor was rustic luxe and so cozy. The decor actually gave me some ideas for my new home. Loved it!
We tasted some delicious wines with gourmet popcorn. It was a great combination. I particularly loved the Sauvignon Blanc. So refreshing and delicious!
After our visit, at Cru, we went into the Oxbow Marketplace and it is filled with luxe shops, eateries and specialty shops. It is my kind of place! It is located on the Napa River and you can grab lunch, dinner or a cocktail and enjoy your meal on the beautiful deck.
Next we had a personal craft brew tasting at Fieldwork Brewing Company, also located in Oxbow Marketplace.
Fieldwork specializes in creating unique craft beers with unique flavors. We sampled several of their best sellers and they were all delicious.
My favorite was the Chocolate Milk Brown Ale. This dark brown ale is laced with milk sugar, cocoa and it has the consistency and taste of chocolate milk. Fabulous!
Next we were ventured to the super luxe The Meritage Resort and Spa. The Meritage Resort and Spa is a luxury 4 diamond resort and spa with its very own vineyard, wine cave and stunning setting. The property also features:
When we arrived at The Meritage Resort and Spa we were greeted with a wine tasting of the wine from the resort’s very own vineyard. The backdrop for the wine tasting was this stunning view:
After the wine tasting we took a brief hike through the vineyard and arrived at the vineyard deck. The view from this deck left me speechless!
The deck is also the perfect setting for the many weddings the property hosts each year. If you didn’t know, The Meritage Resort and Spa is one of the only vineyard allowed to have weddings in Napa.
After our tour of the vineyard, we then had the privilege to have lunch in the property’s Estate Cave. Divas, words can not express how fabulous the setting was. So here is a picture of the cave with our perfect table setting.
The Estate Cave is used for events such as wedding rehearsal dinners and intimate guest dinners arranged by The Meritage Resort and Spa. These dinners feature luxe cuisine by award-winning chefs paired with some of the best Napa wines. These dinners range from $150 to $300 per person and can be booked directly with the hotel’s concierge. Super luxe!
Of course there was more wine and the perfect 3 course lunch. Yum!
After visiting The Meritage Resort and Spa, we took a short ride to The Culinary Institute of America at COPIA.
The CIA’s facility at COPIA is designed for Napa residents and visitors and offers a one stop haven of food, wine and arts-based experiences. It is truly a beautiful building and the interior space is open, airy and peaceful.
The facility features cooking classes and demos by award-winning chefs; stunning art displays; The Restaurant at COPIA and a beautiful retail shop featuring unique culinary gifts. The facility also hosts special events.

My second day in Napa was filed with lush lodging, perfect views, delicious wines, craft beer and great food! As I stated in the previous post, the 2nd day of our tour was even better than the first.
