Luxetips Automobiles! 2014 BMW X5: Sporty Luxe
When you wake up, you can choose to be happy or miserable. Choose happiness!
I have always admired the BMW X5. It is sporty, compact, and luxurious. However, I never thought it was a vehicle for me because it does not have a 3rd row. Although, I only have two kids, a third row does help out with hauling friends and all the gear that kids accumulate.
But the new 2014 BMW X5 is calling my name. I am in the market for a new SUV and I am liking what I see.
The 2014 BMX X5 features a cabin with more room and a 3rd row seat is an option. So the luxe kids will have plenty of space and won’t feel like they are on top of each other. Plus the luxury line also comes with gorgeous Nappa leather heated rear seats which my kids love. They always complain that my car has heated front seats but not heated rear seats and it is just not fair! LOL!
Electronic features include BMW Assist, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, smartphone app integration, a 10.2-inch central display screen, the iDrive controller, a navigation system, voice controls (navigation), and a nine-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB interface and HD radio. Of course a rear-seat entertainment package is available that includes dual monitors for back seat passengers and especially for luxe kids to watch their favorite movies, play games, or music with wireless headphones.
Of course BMW is known for their superior performance features and the BMW X5 does not disappoint. It includes:
- a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 good for 450 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque,
- 0 to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds,
- eight-speed automatic transmission,
- hill descent control.
Safety is important and especially for me because the luxe kids and I love to take road trips. The 2014 BMW X5 includes stability and traction control, antilock brakes, automatic brake drying, front side airbags, side curtain airbags and active head restraints. Also standard is the BMW Assist emergency communications system, which provides automatic crash notification, stolen vehicle recovery and on-demand roadside assistance.
The starting retail price for a 2014 BMW X5 is $55,000 and depends on which package and options you choose. It is a little bit more expensive, but worth it.
