Luxetips Beauty! Nails and Cocktails: Davio’s Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon & Adorn Nail Polish
Valentine’s Day is approaching and remember that love begins within.
Last week I attended a swanky event at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. Davios features the finest Northern Italian cuisine in the city. Yum!
While I was there, I discovered Davio’s also has amazing wine that is specially produced for the restaurant.
I love a good Cabernet Sauvignon and decided to try a glass of the 2011 Davio’s Reserve, by Peter Merriam. This cabernet is Davio’s house cabernet and is simply divine.
Davio’s Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon is fruity and velvety smooth. It is so good, you simply want to sip and savor each sip in your mouth. The wine simply rolled across my tongue with each sip, leaving behind wonderful fruity notes and hints of chocolate. Specifically, this exclusive Davio’s blend has rich aromas of dark stone fruits with a hint of cassis. Red raspberry, chocolate, and vanilla lead up to a soft elegant finish with a subtle tannin. It is easy-drinking, allowing it to be enjoyed alone and easily paired with many varying menu items.
I love this wine so much I had to feature it in my Nails and Cocktails™ post.
I paired all natural and organic Adorn nail polish in French Lessons, a bright crimson red with Davio’s Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon. They both are lush and luxe. A perfect pair!
