Luxetips Events! Lincoln Honors Filmmakers At Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival
Life is full of surprises. Be flexible and learn to roll with it.
I loooove Martha’s Vineyard. Back in my east coast living days, Martha’s Vineyard was a yearly trip. The island is beautiful, rich with history, and has the absolute best seafood ever! Bliss.
Every year Martha’s Vineyard hosts the Annual Run & Shoot Filmworks Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. This year the Lincoln Motor Company was the presenting sponsor of this prestigious film festival.
The five-day film festival serves as a platform to screen and promote films from emerging and independent African American filmmakers. Director and Lincoln “Journey Series” partner Nelson George was in attendance at the festival and debuted his work in progress film, “A Ballerina’s Tale”, a documentary profiling Misty Copeland.
Divas if you don’t know about Misty Copeland, you must. She is the first ever African-American female soloist for the American Ballet Theatre. She is super talented, gorgeous, and gives back to her community. Love her!
The Lincoln Motor Company provided vehicle test drives and displays, including the chance to drive the first-ever Lincoln MKC, Lincoln’s first small premium utility vehicle.
