Luxetips Events! Lincoln Sponsors Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon
Life is good. Enjoy it!
I just returned from a whirlwind trip to L.A. to attend the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon sponsored by Lincoln. It was beyond fabulous, amazing and inspiring. It was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel (which is beyond fab) and the stars looked fantastic!
The Beverly Hills Hotel is super decadent and was the perfect backdrop to honor Black Women In Hollywood. As guest entered the venue and descended the spiral staircase, GORGEOUS framed pictures of the honorees stunned us with their beauty.
Pam Grier. Fierce.
Kerry Washington. Ballerina.
Shonda Rhimes. Diva. Boss.
Paula Patton. Smoldering.
Octavia Spencer. Simply Beautiful.
The “Red Carpet” was exciting and full of madness. LOL! Here are some of my favorite looks.
Kerry Washington. The red lips and that clutch…Chanel.
Ms. Tracee Ellis Ross. Her dress was so unique.
MC Lyte….not aging. So down to earth and personable.
I love Tika Sumpter’s dress!
I love Paula Patton and she did not disappoint. So beautiful. Funny. And just NICE!
Viola Davis. I am loving her hair. So elegant.
Kelly Rowland. Beautiful.
Shonda is my hero! Just a boss! Did you know she wrote the screenplay for Princess Diaries and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge? And she is a MOM. Wow!
Jennifer Beale. Not aging.
Wendy Raquel Robinson is so funny. When I told her my name is Tasha, she said “Girl stop!”
Laila Ali. Just beautiful skin.
The Divas of all Divas. Mikki Taylor, Editor At Large Essence.
Sheryl Lee Ralph and Neicy Nash.
Pam Grier. Such an inspiration.
Fellow FAMU alum..Anika Noni-Rose
Of course, the Lincoln MKS was on full display. It is truly a beautiful car.
Tatiana Ali and Angel, Founder and Editor of The Concrete Loop. Fab!
Inside the Beverly Hills Hotel gorgeous Ballroom the ceremony was moving and definitely a tear jerker. Between every presenter, they played Whitney songs and Jordan Sparks sang a tribute to Whitney Houston. They both co-starred in the Sparkle remake that will be released later this year.
Here are some pics of the presenters and honorees.
Shawn Lollie, Multi-Cultural Marketing Manager for Ford/Lincoln Brands.
And this is just the beginning to my fabulous 2 day trip. I have more celebs pics, details about our amazing dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Bel Air Hotel, The W Westwood (my home for 1 night!) and the fabulous bloggers who were on this trip! Stay tuned!
