Luxetips Events! The 7th Annual Bronze Lens Film Festival Happening August 25-28
Perfect love casts out fear. There is no fear in love.
If you are a film fanatic like me, then you would love the Bronze Lens Film Festival which will take place in Atlanta, GA from August 25-28 at the Marriot Marquis.
The Bronze Lens Film Festival features select films from filmmakers representing the United States, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. There will be over 50 films that include a collection of features, shorts, narratives, webisodes (I love them) and documentaries.
The mission of the BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, Georgia is two fold: to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color; and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers. Love it!
In addition, there will be BronzeLens expert master classes, workshops, domestic and international film screenings and signature events during this one of a kind film festival. So luxe!
This year the Bronze Lens Film Festival has a lot of treats for attendees. The festival will include a host of workshops and seminars for rising and current filmmakers. Some of the notable sessions are:
Legal Mashups- these seminars are offered by expert attorneys in the entertainment business and cover topics such as: Music in Film, Story legalities, Talent and Crew (Employment Law) and
Film Distribution- How to get funding and get your film distributed.
Producers Roundtable – featuring top producers in film and television
Student Track – For Students who want to gain practical knowledge about the film business.
Of course we all came here for films and the schedule will include screenings featuring shorts, films, documentaries and features.
The Bronze Lens Film Festival also brings some notable talent and heavy hitters in the entertainment industry to Atlanta. On Friday, at the Bronze Len’s Superstar Luncheon, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the current President of the Academy of Motion Pictures will be the featured speaker and honoree.
To celebrate and kick-off the Bronze Lens Film Festival 7th year in existence, the festival hosted a VIP reception at Davidoff of Geneva in the Shops of Buckhead.
The reception included light bites, drinks, filmmakers and fab people! Check out the pictures!
