Luxetips Events! Winterwonderland at Marietta Square: Small Town Charm and Family Fun
Life is what you make it. Make it great!
I love discovering new places in my hometown of Atlanta, GA.
My new favorite place for family fun, great food and unique items to shop is Marietta Square.
Historic Marietta Square is located in the heart of Marietta, GA a suburb north of Atlanta. Marietta Square has the most amazing restaurants, art galleries and clothing boutiques. During the holiday season, from Nov. 20 – Jan 4, the Square turns into a Winterwonderland with ice skating, Santa Clause visits, Santa’s workshop, a multi-story Christmas tree and a New Year’s Eve Party. Fabulous!
Last week, I had the opportunity to preview all Marietta Square has to offer and I am in love! We took a sip and nosh tour of the square and I had the chance to experience delicious fudge, the best ice-cream shop eva, Italian mimosas, and art inspired by Coco Chanel.
Take a look!
Our first stop was at the Ye Old Christmas and Candy Shoppe. This shops makes the best homemade fudge and other chocolate goodies I have ever tasted. It also has the most unique and cute ornaments.
Our next stop was Sarah Jean’s Ice Cream shop.
I brought some #luxetipskids along with me to check out Marietta Square and this was by far their favorite shop! I was in heaven too! Why? They serve ice cream from my favorite ice cream creamery, Greenwood. Greenwood has flavors like Banana Pudding, Mint Chocolate Chip, Salted Caramel….so you can see why I love it so much! But the best part was the mega huge ice cream sandwiches Sarah Jean’s makes fresh and on the spot. You can choose any of their fresh baked cookies like, chocolate-chip, oatmeal-raisin and red velvet ( I nearly fainted when I saw the red velvet cookies LOL!).
As you can see these #luxetipskids were in Nirvana! Priceless.
Our next stop was dk Galkery. dk Gallery is a very posh art gallery located in the heart of Marietta Square. The space is gorgeous and they are currently showing an exhibit inspired by my shero, the ultimate classy lady, Coco Chanel. Swoon!
Next we ventured over to Piastra Italian restaurant. This is a family friendly restaurant and features classic Italian dishes. They also just happen to have the best proseco cocktail I ever tasted. It is made with homemade fresh lemonade and proseco. So Delish!
After our tour of Marietta Square, we made it over to the outdoor ice rink to do some skating. For $12 dollars you will receive skates to skate as long a you like.
They play great music and it is so much fun! Love it!
