Luxetips Travel! Tampa, Clearwater Beach and Honeymoon Island: Rustic Luxe Springbreak
Spring break is one of my absolute favorite times to vacation. By the time April rolls around, everyone is ready for a break! The Luxetips kids are exhausted from school and the Luxe parents are exhausted from work and taking care of kids! HA! As a result, everyone is in a good mood, excited and ready to go!
This year for Spring Break we ventured to the Northern West Coast of Florida to enjoy the perfect weather, calming Gulf of Mexico and of course white sugar sand beaches. Gorgeous! However, we discovered that there is more to this area than pretty beaches and clear blue skies. We discovered a happening art scene, scenic bike routes and the Riverwalk. Check it out!
Well preserved beaches.
We love Clearwater Beach and we have been there several times. However, on this vacation, I wanted to explore other beaches and we discovered Honeymoon Island. Honeymoon Island is a small island off the coast of Clearwater Beach. It is a State Park so it is not developed and crowded like Clearwater Beach. It is pristine, peaceful and absolutely stunning.
Love, love, love.
Another amazing discovery we made about Tampa is that this city is very metro and has an up and coming art scene. We visited the ultra modern Tampa Museum of Art and it was a hit with the entire family. Also here is a luxetip: If you stay at the Sheraton Hotel Riverwalk, your room key gets you FREE admission. So luxe! Check out the art!
There was also a very cool urban art show taking place at our swanky hotel, Starwood’s Aloft Tampa. This art show featured local artists and the work was stunning!
One of the coolest attractions in Tampa is the Riverwalk. This walking trail runs along side the Hillsborough River and features parks, restaurants, hotels and other Tampa attractions like The Florida Aquarium, The Tampa History Center and more. I loved the Riverwalk. It is a great place to take a nice walk or ride your bike. We did both, but sometimes we would just sit and people watch. It is such a great attraction!
As I mentioned, we did rent bikes in Tampa and rode them all around Tampa. Check out the views!
Tampa also has some of the best hotels. We stayed a couple of nights at The Sheraton Riverwalk and the remainder of our stay at the Aloft Tampa. We adored the Aloft! This ultra modern hotel featured luxe furnishing, a roof top pool overlooking the Riverwalk, a swanky lounge and bar area, an outdoor fire pit and my fav bath and body products from Bliss Spa. Swoon! I was in heaven and the kids loved it too!
But of course nothing was better than hanging with our kids and seeing the look of bliss on their faces. They had the absolute best time ever and it makes us so happy to make them happy. So much love!
