Luxetips Travel: The Beauty of Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley California
Hello Divas!
Life is Beautiful. Enjoy it!

Last week I was able to experience the beauty of Carmel By The Sea, CA.  After my stay in Carmel By the Sea, I then ventured a mere 15 miles inland to visit gorgeous Carmel Valley, CA.

I was there to visit Holman Ranch, a stunning ranch housing a working vineyard and an olive grove on 400 acres of land!

Holman Ranch specializes in corporate retreats and events and more importantly, one of a kind weddings.

I mean can you imagine getting married with this view???

Wedding Ceremony Garden

Backdrop…not bad.
The owner of Holman Ranch gave us a grand tour of the property and he kicked it off with a wine tasting of their own estate grown, Pinot Gris. Delish!

Wine grapes under the arbor. Nice touch.

Hacienda made with Carmel Stone. I love this stone!

Inner Courtyard at the Hacienda. Lovely.

We ventured inside the Hacienda to check out the many amenities Holman Ranch has for guests of the property.
Wall of Fame.  Charlie Chaplin and Marlon Brando were frequent guests.
Corporate Meeting Room for Corporate Retreats complete with wi-fi, projectors, and multi-media capability.
Chapel just in case you want to get married in a Religious setting.

Grand Room of the Hacienda where guests can relax and have a great glass of wine!

Game room including pool table, billiards, flat screens, and a juke box! The Groom and Groomsmen usually hang out here.
We were then treated to a lovely family style dinner under the Arbor.  All of the dishes were local and organic. And of course we had more of Holman Ranch’s very own wine.  Their best wine is the Pinot Noir and we had lots of it! Simply perfect.

After Dinner, we hung out in the game room drinking more wine and then retired to our rooms for the night.  Holman Ranch has 10 unique guest accommodations.  There is the Holman Ranch Quarters with 4 guest rooms featuring a queen bed and pull out sofa; the Deluxe Holman Ranch Quarters featuring two queen beds and hospitality sink; and the Signature Valley Oak Cottage featuring two (2) bedroom, two bath cottages with a full kitchen, breakfast bar and a living room with a wood burning fireplace.
I stayed in one of the Deluxe Holman Ranch rooms and it was lovely.  The rooms are decorated with a lovely rustic charm.  The bed was super comfy and with the beautiful setting right outside the window, it is like a mini-retreat within a retreat!

The next morning we took a tour of the vineyard and the winery, The Caves.  Holman Ranch grows the grapes and also performs Winery operations such as destemming, pressing, fermenting and aging , while bottling is done directly outside using a mobile bottling line.  Holman Ranch ships 3,000-5,000 cases of wine per year.

The climate in Carmel Valley is a nice Sunny mid to high 70s most of the year.  Perfect weather.  However, I would recommend renting a car to get around Carmel Valley.  I did not rent a car, but thankfully Duke’s Door To Door Service, got me from Carmel By the Sea to Carmel Valley safely with a bit of a history lesson too!
